Mock Trial in Public Children Law on 18th June 2016

Cathedral Chambers takes pupillage training very seriously. Our pupils, during their first six, will undergo two formal assessments.

The first assessment was a mock trial in public children law on 18th June 2016.

Miss El-Nazer represented the local authority and Miss Beattie represented the first respondent mother.

Felicie Lucas, Christine Abbott and Sara Owen were a formidable Bench.

Sheila Radcliffe was a firm social worker and Nicola Morgan a very awkward client. Steven Hancox made an excellent litigant in person and dressed for the part.

Elaine Nixon acted for Tazleem Riaz who played the Children's Guardian.

Guy Moore was a convincing Court usher and Chris McKay was security. Fortunately his services were not required.

Many thanks to Tazeem Fatima for being our photographer and social media coordinator.

It was very nice to see such a good turnout to support our pupils and we are very grateful to our staff for giving up a Saturday.
